The Rhode Island Section of the ASQ (RIASQ) is an active section that provides many opportunities for our members to expand their knowledge and associations with other quality-minded professionals in the Rhode Island and South Eastern Massachusetts area. Please join us at our monthly dinner meetings where you will find a casual atmosphere, great food and excellent networking opportunities.

Call for Nominations – 2019
Please submit names of nominated individuals to Dean Chapman via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) by September 28th, 2018. Nominations require the submission of a nomination petition by at least 10 Regular Members*. Eligible individuals must be Regular Members of the Society and have a membership in the Rhode Island 0107 Section.
Brief descriptions of each position are listed below for the positions that are open for nominations; each of these positions has a one-year term.
The Chair provides leadership and oversight to the member unit, prepared meeting agendas and is the presiding officer.
The Vice Chair performs duties as directed by the Chair in support of the organization’s mission and goals. The position does not succeed to the position of Chair following the end of the first term.
The Secretary documents member unit business and maintains the records. This position serves as the official correspondent of the member unit.
The Treasurer oversees funds, maintains accurate financial records, and reports on the financial condition as directed by the Society bylaws, policies and procedures
*Regular members are voting members of the Society; Full, Senior, Fellow, Honorary and primary contact of Site/Enterprise/School/District memberships.

RIASQ earns Silver Achievement
We are pleased to announce that our section has been awarded the Silver Award for Recognition from the Performance Awards and Recognition (PAR) committee, a part of ASQ.
According to the committee, “This level was achieved by meeting the good standing requirements as well as meeting or exceeding the Member Leader Engagement, Increase in Growth and Retention % metrics.”
8 RIASQ members have passed a certification or recertification exam during the past 6 months.
