September Dinner Meeting

September 19 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Quality and Safety: A Partnership to Win in the Dairy Business
Presented by David Pasquini
Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) takes great pride in being one of the largest suppliers of milk products and ice cream nationwide.  Its recognized brands include Garelick Farms, Friendly’s, Mayfield Dairy, and Kemps just to name a few.  DFA starts with the farms.  Our farmers send milk by tanker trucks to manufacturing plants nationwide.   After the product is made, a vast manufacturing and distribution network exists to service both large and small businesses with the dairy products that their customers enjoy.  Quality and safety are integral parts of meeting this objective.  In this presentation, David Pasquini will discuss the integration of quality techniques into providing a safe work environment.  This includes the use of FMEA to determine key improvement opportunities for the plants.
David Pasquini has a associates degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Odessa College in Odessa Texas.  For the past 39 plus years, he has served in a variety of assignments in the ice cream and dairy industries including workers’ compensation, manufacturing, plant maintenance and repair, wastewater treatment, DOT, environmental, Ammonia Process Safety Management, facilities management, and safety.  He is presently the Sr Process Safety Manager for DFA Dairy Brands, which is a division of DFA that oversees greater than 80 manufacturing and depot locations nationwide.  David is married with 2 children.
